Humanitarian of the Year
Named Humanitarian of the Year by the Haynes Center for Family Services along with her husband, Ivan, Beth manages a fund in the California Community Foundation known as the BNI-Misner Foundation.
The BNI-Misner Foundation has given over $1 million to charities since its inception in 1999. Schools have been built, books have been purchased, technology has been updated and kids have been favorably impacted all over the world. Beth likes to say she “has the best job in the world!”
To teach their children the art of philanthropy, Beth and Ivan give each of their three children one Givers Gain® Grant each year. They need to research a charity, explain why they are recommending the charity and follow up with the charity to report back how the money was used.
In addition, Beth and her two daughters, Ashley and Cassandra, support the work of the International Justice Mission. The Misner women are devoted to freeing women and children who are enslaved in sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.
90% of all the profits from Jesus and the Secret are being sent to IJM.
